Remote POS Setup, Done Properly

You bought good hardware. What it did not come with is the work that turns it into a point of sale — configuration, data, training, a launch that does not fall over on day one. This package is that work, in one fixed scope, delivered remotely by the Sabsoft integration team wherever your business trades.

What the package includes

Modelled on how the best POS vendors onboard their own customers — applied to the Sunmi devices you already own.

Discovery and written scope

A call about your business, devices and software — followed by a written scope listing exactly what will be configured. The package is fixed-scope: you approve the list before work starts, and the list is what gets delivered.

Device enrolment

Your Sunmi devices are enrolled into a Sunmi Partners account under your business and organised in Sunmi's device management platform, so every terminal can be configured, updated and supported remotely from day one.

Software installation and configuration

Your POS software installed on every device and configured properly: taxes, receipt formats, user roles, payment options, printer and kitchen-display routing — the settings that decide whether a counter runs smoothly at peak hour.

Catalogue loading

Your menu or product list loaded from your file — items, categories, prices, modifiers and variants — then checked with you item by item before launch. No empty system handed over for your staff to populate.

Training workshops

Live video training for your team on your actual configured system: billing, refunds, end-of-day, and the problems new counters always hit in week one. Sessions are recorded and left with you for future staff.

Pre-launch check and supported go-live

Before launch we run a data and configuration integrity check — test orders, printing routes, totals and taxes. On go-live day our team is on call with you, and a 30-day support window follows for the questions that only real trading raises.

What we need from you

Remote setup is a partnership of exactly four things — everything else is our side of the table.

1

Your Sunmi devices, powered and connected to the internet

2

Your menu or product catalogue in any common file format (or photos of a paper menu — we will structure it)

3

One staff member available on the scheduled calls to plug in hardware and confirm test prints

4

Portal or account access where your market requires it (for example, FATOORA access for a Saudi ZATCA setup)

Frequently Asked Questions

We quote per engagement after the free discovery call, because the honest price depends on your device count, your software's current state and how much data needs loading. What we can promise is the shape: a fixed scope and a fixed quote, approved by you in writing before work begins — never an hourly meter running while you watch.
The timeline is confirmed in your written scope. As a pattern: a single outlet with its data ready is measured in days of scheduled sessions, and multi-branch rollouts are phased branch by branch over weeks. The two things that stretch timelines are catalogue data arriving late and compliance portal access (where a market requires it) not being ready — both are flagged on the discovery call, not discovered mid-project.
Hardware — you buy your devices locally, which keeps your warranty local too. Third-party software licences, which stay in your name with the vendor. Physical installation work such as cabling and mounting, which your own staff handle with our live guidance when it is needed. And custom software development, which we quote separately when a business needs something built rather than configured.
Any POS software that runs on your Sunmi devices. In Pakistan that is often Sabify, our group's software, with FBR e-invoicing built in. Internationally we configure the software you already run or have chosen — including the compliance configuration where the software supports it, such as ZATCA Phase 2 in Saudi Arabia. If your software cannot meet your market's requirements, the discovery call is where we tell you, before you have paid for a setup that cannot work.
Where a good local Sunmi specialist exists, that can work well. The gap we fill is everywhere else: most local installers set up hardware, but the work that decides whether your POS actually serves you — software configuration, tax and compliance setup, catalogue structure, staff training, a supported go-live — is integrator work, and it is scarce in most markets. Remote delivery through Sunmi's own platform means that scarcity no longer depends on your postcode.
Most clients move onto an annual support arrangement: configuration changes, new devices enrolled, refresher training and priority remote support for the systems we set up. It is optional, quoted per site, and — like the setup package — scoped in writing. Your devices and your Sunmi Partners account remain yours either way; nothing about your setup is held hostage to a contract with us.

The discovery call is free. The scope is in writing.

Tell us your devices, your software and your market. You will get a fixed scope and a fixed quote — and an honest answer if your current setup cannot do what you need.
